Decoration that saves trees

There is more and more attention paid also to our environment and its well-being today – we try to be responsible and environmentally friendly consumers. We do not turn a blind eye if a tree has been cut down due to our shopping habits. For that reason, these paper decorations stand out from the rest as they save and preserve the native plant species in terms of their growth space and diversity. Experts of handmade paper production in the APPLAUSE project, have crafted the paper decorations along with the  local community of The City Municipality of Ljubljana. They collaborate in order to solve the issue of invasive alien plants that negatively influence the native flora. It is made from a removed invasive alien plant and as such presents an important step toward preserving diversity of native plants.

The paper decorations are crafted from handmade paper and laser cutting.
