A bright and healthy creative environment gives an important boost to generating great business ideas and can greatly contribute to work efficiency. A key component of furniture is a quality working station – a desk, designed in a sustainable way. The desk is a handmade wooden product of the APPLAUSE project, in which the experts in carpentry and local community of The City Municipality of Ljubljana collaborate to solve the issue of invasive alien plants that negatively affect the natural local environment. It is made from a removed invasive alien plant and as such presents an important step toward preserving diversity of native plants.
The product is made in a wood shop and it consists of 4 beams, attached to the desk’s legs under the desk top with wooden pegs and cam locks. The desk comes with a sectioned drawer at one side of the working tabletop surface that opens along drawer guides. Its dimensions are 64 cm x 120 cm x 72 cm.
